Synopsis: 

The series is primarily set in Tokyo. Ryoma Echizen, a tennis prodigy, attends Seishun Academy, or Seigaku for short, a private school famous for its strong tennis club and talented players. Ryoma quickly defeats numerous upperclassmen shortly after entrance, to secure himself a spot as one of the team’s regulars. In pursuit of their ultimate goal of winning the all-Japan junior high tennis championship, members of the team make new friends while learning and mastering increasingly complex techniques.

Im not really sure how to start this review, well irs reasonable cause this is my first time LOL .  Anyways im just gonna make a small introduction about Prince of Tennis then i will start the review i just hope it will turn out ok, My apologize if you will encounter rumble thoughts since im gonna make this review in that condition hehehehe.

Prince of Tennis i think is one of my fave Sport Anime, I’ve been following this series since last year, Already finished the Anime, Movies and OVA except the live action since i dont like the actor playing echizen hhehe. Oh well im not gonna review the Anime, i’ll go with the manga since finally its end, ( i thought it will last for 400+ Chapters @_@ ) good thing they ended it before i get tired.. XD

Prince of Tennis is about a first year boy who like tennis (  He’s so cool, and mature despite his age, the reason why he play tennis was to defeat his father even once and his most notable character is so being arrogant and full of self confidence but deep inside he loves tennis and he just realized it in the end )

Its all about The Seigaku Tennis Club doing their best to improve their skills to become strong and be the no. 1 school in Japan in the area  of Tennis Sport..   As they work harder to become the no. 1 they develop sense of unity and trust within each other.

Its all bout being sport if you win or loose and dont give up even if you only have 1% of wining,  Determination and love as they meet rivals and become friend with them in the end.

 Characters

Ryoma Echizen
The protagonist of the series, Ryoma is the son of Nanjiro Echizen, who was formerly known as ‘Samurai Nanjiro’ during his days as a professional tennis player. Ryoma gains the nickname “Samurai Junior” later in the series. He makes his first appearance when he criticizes a high school student about his tennis knowledge in a subway.

Kunimitsu Tezuka
Tezuka is the captain of the tennis club and a third year student at Seishun Academy. He is an incredibly talented player and went to Nationals the year before the series took place. Tezuka is serious about everything he does, and he is very strict – one of his trademark phrases is “Don’t let your guard down.”

Shuichiro Oishi
Oishi is a third year student at Seishun Academy and the vice-captain of the tennis club. Along with Eiji Kikumaru, he is part of Seigaku’s “Golden Pair,” a doubles team that made it to Nationals the year before the series takes place. Oishi is a very responsible character and cares deeply about the team.

Shusuke Fuji
Shusuke Fuji is a third year student at Seishun Academy, and is approaching fifteen years of age at the beginning of the series. He is given the title “tensai”, or genius, due to his tactical skill on the tennis court. Fuji is often seen with a calm and content expression on his face, with his eyes seemingly closed from lightly smiling. However, when he is excited or provoked, or when playing seriously, Fuji reveals his sharp eyes.

Eiji Kikumaru
Eiji Kikumaru is a third year student at Seigaku, and is part of the “Golden Pair,” along with Shuichiro Oishi. Using his acrobatic play, he can return almost any ball, even those that seem out of human reach. Eiji is also known to have the sharpest vision on the team, with an exceptional talent for seeing moving objects.

Takashi Kawamura
Takashi is a soft-spoken person off the court; very gentle and shy, though still outspoken and stubborn when he makes a decision. However, he becomes extremely aggressive and loud once he grabs a racket. This change in his personality is marked by him shouting “Burning!!!”

Sadaharu Inui
Inui is a highly intelligent player. He plays what he calls “Data Tennis,” which involves collecting and analyzing data for a player in order to determine their weaknesses. He is even able to determine the exact probability of certain shots being successful. When he is cut from the regulars after the first Seigaku ranking matches shown in the series, Inui creates the training menus for the team.

Takeshi Momoshiro
Momoshiro is known as Seigaku’s number one rascal. He is an aggressive baseliner. For a short time, he is cut from the regulars after losing to Inui and Tezuka during Seigaku’s second monthly ranking matches. As the player who is the most open and friendly with everyone, Momoshiro is connected to everyone on the team on some level.

Kaoru Kaido
Kaido’s nickname is “Viper,” which fits him well as his signature move is the “Snake Shot,” a curving forehand that keeps his opponents running. He wears a bandana and often exhales, making a sound similar to a snake. Kaido does not like his nickname, and often reacts badly when called that within earshot. He and Momo are rivals, though very competent doubles partners.

The known Legendary Tennis Player, A real awesome tennis player and a certified pervert LOL.  Father of echizen,  He alsways act like he didnt care a bit on echizen current situation but deep inside he always support him till the end.

Seigaku Coach, The Old granny know how to handle thing,  Despite of his old age, she still the best coach for seigaku ( if you seen her young image ( she’s hot 100% ^_^ )

Drawings: 

They are drawn nice, every character has its own uniqueness although sometime im get confused hehehe well maybe its because due to lots of character some of them are forgotten easily. and didn’t recognize them all heheheh. 

The manga is quite different from the anime version. While most of the story and characters are the same, there are small story-changes in the animated version because Konomi thought it would be too boring to watch what fans have already read. POT manga follower understand what i am talking about ^_^

Also, while the manga makes an attempt to try and explain how some of the seemingly impossible moves are performed, such as the Tezuka Zone and Kikumaru’s Seal Steps, the anime does less and sometimes even exaggerate them to a point where it becomes almost magical. This is possibly also due to the fact that the anime uses animation and naturally some effects are enhanced, but at times the anime seems to deliberately exaggerate the effects in order to parody itself.

The Last Chapter didn’t disappointed  me, they did won and explain everything that the greatest techniques comes within your true feelings towards something.  Its not important if you loose or win what is matter most is you have fun while playing.  Prince of Tennis is one of my fave sport 2nd to Slum Dunk, well its good thing that they put a little comedy on it.. I always like how echizen say his signature phrase ( Mada Mada Dane! )  its kinda cute. hehehe and tezuka who doesnt smile and only show one emotion in any situation is really cool

For more than a year i didn’t exert effort and give time on applying or submitting in any hospital here in the philippine. Its because my interest were diverted to my original hobby. computers and anime and also my first try has been rejected huhuhu But lately i was inspired by kuya mike and nettie to apply again.. But my Mom ( its always been my mom hehehe ) suggested that “mag abroad ka na lang” since i dont have experience yet the first agency i have to try on rejected me also. but there’s was a saying try and try until you die ( juz kiddin ) after what happen to my mom i decided to try again and tadaaann……! i passed the interview, well thanks to those people who help me specially my dad since he’s working on that agency and my mom ” na nangulit sa kanila” of course my “ate” na currently nag wowork hospital na pagtratrabuhan ko.. But then since i graduated on May i have to wait before the May end to make it two years. So far ill be leaving the Philippines this June.

But im still thinking of applying to another agency to be able to go abroad early than June, Its always be my luck.. i just have to believe on it…

I dream to become a cruise nurse someday, i guess this could wait ^_^

Synopsis:

Based on a light novel series by Amamiya Ryo, illustrated by Poko.

A story about a miracle, involving Fumika, a quiet but hard working girl who wears a uniform of a mail carrier, and her talkative staff and partner Kanaka. The Shigofumi is a posthumous letter, the last resort of relaying a deceased person`s last message to his/her loved ones: family, friends, and significant other. (From AniDB)

The first episode start with a two high school girl talking about a shinigami who delivered letter from a dead person. The letters in question are called “shigofumi”, and are written by the deceased after time of death, where they supposedly get remarkably honest. The scene change to a crime scene where the police are investigating. Coming from the sky our two main characters show up. Fumika, a mysterious and quiet girl who delivers letters from dead people, and her sidekick Kanaka, a talking staff which also functions as transportation.

Shouta, an ordinary high school boy with a dream of flying a rocket that revolved around the earth’s orbit was having fun with ayase a friend she meet on during her rocket test lunch. When shouta trying to confess, ayase fone rings telling her that her father’s body has already been found. On the next day fumika appeared to shouta, delivering a letter from ayase’s father to the lover of ayase. shouta is confuse about fumika weird appearance but he still believed to what fumika is saying. to his dismay the letter is send to ayase’s lover and he’s not a lover at all. After talking to fumika shouta decided to be accept the letter but before that he will have to be a lover of ayase. Shouta call ayase to confess but hes too “torpe” that he can say it and of course its really not the right time, instead shouta talk about his rocket that he already completed, and hoping that she could see it flying. ayase agreed to that. On the following days shouta is being busy fixing his rocket and finally he succeed.

Fumika and kanaka is exploring the building, again they debating about their true job, they found a room with bed and fumika seen what had happen to that place. she then decided to return to shouta’s place but kanaka said that shouta needs time. that because he was reading the shigofumi. Fumika rush to shouta but its too late. the letter has been read. and shouta is so angry. and calling himself stupid on believing on such thing. He then rush to ayase to prove ayase inocent.

Shouta and ayase are talking in a park, and shouta finally confess his love, but ayase rejected her that when fumika appeared and shouta still protecting ayase and believing that she can never do that kind of thing to her father. To his shock as he face ayase he was stabed…. ayase is also targeting fumika… that how it end.

This anime is quite interesting, i love the way they delivered the story and the mature stuffs are surprising from a child pornography to murdering your parents. The character design is ok but the animation is kinda lame. i dont like fumika height she’s so small ( categorizing her a loli ) and also the thing that bind her hair looks like an ear to me heheheh. Also Shigofumi is an episodic type, some review said its just like shinigami no ballad. well i cant react yet since i didnt watch it ^_^ So far shigofumi got my interest, and i’ll be watching this anime

Synopsis:

Hirose Takuma has been traumatized by the death of his mother during his childhood years. He eventually transferred to the school in his mother’s home town in order to recover. It is there he met with three particularly strange girls. They include Kohinata Hayam, a girl who rejects any contact with other students. Kagura Hinata is a class leader who is kind but a little careless. The third girl is Otoha, an energetic girl who named herself a “fairy of time and sound”. As he continued his school experience, Takuma tried to start afresh with his life, but with bullies like Tabata Yui and the past events haunting him, things look to be extremely complicated.

The episode start with a view of the beach, a peaceful and quite scene then suddenly change into one violence and pain as we see a girl got beaten by two boys in the rain( they really got my attention on this one ^_^ ) they close the intro with our first glimpse of the main character, Takuma Hirose, the young boy who has been blind since seeing his mother’s death.

It was pretty a good first episode, the blind main character gave an interesting view in the story plus its leave a lot of unanswered questions. Is Otoha a real character or just one of takuma’s illusion friend. The pacing seems fast since takuma have open his eyes in the first episode. There is just one thing i dont like on this anime its the fanservicey, i’ve seen not just once but trice. I really hope that they stay with a serious type settings. And also the soundtrack are nice, few more episode then the OP theme will stuck in my heart ^_^

Anyways I like the series so far and it doesnt bored me with the first watch, so I’ll probably continue watching but not to the point of blogging it every episodes neh.. heheheh

( sorry for not being able to summarize it, im kinda not in the mood of making a summary ^_^ )

Hello its been its been a while… i thought i wont be able to post here anymore, i thought im gonna busy this year, and i thought i will have a new life this year. yeah right that was i thought….

But now here i am again with a cup of coffee near my pc table, making a nonsense post. trying to do something that will ease my feeling. typing every words that run in my mind. hoping someone will read it and understand what im talking about.

That’s my life…. hehehe anyways forget about it…. there are things that happen recently that i haven’t post after that incident… ^_^

like my first driving lesson. It was really fun back then but we just did in 30 minutes only. I still remember how i panic and my cousin who is my teacher keeps laughing. heheh and of course i wont forget the looks on her face when the subdivision guard scold on us because i merely hit a tricycle hehehe. She don’t have license yet its good thing that the guard knew her parents ^_^

and another moments when my mom got a mild stroke.. the feelings of pretending to be strong in front of your family while crying alone is really hard to do. ^_^ that time i realized that i love my mom so much hehehhe. i dont wanna experience it anymore. thank God she’s survive and doing fine right now.

Now I’m currently reviewing for a qualifying exam on February 5, but i cant collect those pieces of inspirations around me.. i cant focus my mind on reviewing this stuffs… i only have 2 weeks and still im sitting in front of my pc doing this nonsense post. T_T

anyways im here to introduce my new lay out, and hoping to update it every now and then. ^_^ I like the new lay out except the girl image in the right corner but i think it fits my character i just dont like her pants.. Synopsis:

Review:

The Story: when it all started ^_^

Chiaki attends a renown school that specializes in music. Chiaki is a very skilled pianist and he isn’t the most modest person. His inflated ego, however, becomes the root of the argument he has with his instructor. His instructor then kicks him out of his division, and Chiaki is left with Tanioka Hajime-sensei. Chiaki falls from the instructor that teaches the best students, to the one that teaches the worst students.

He meets a girl named Megumi Noda (Nodame) who seems to have a gift in playing by ear. She’s full of energy and does play quite well. But she’s poorly skilled at sight reading, is childish, and is a total slob! He has to attend classes with this poor excuse for a girl??

Since he probably won’t excel in playing the piano, he starts thinking about his true dream of being a composer. Then again, Nodame’s behaviour and attitude toward music opens up his senses in a different perspective. [anime-source]

Its not that im being being biased but Nodame Cantabile is really one of those hilarious series that can move you to tears while in a burst of laughing. Extremely entertaining, brilliantly done, musically beautiful, and absolutely satisfying. ( in my own opinion neh ^_^ ) well it really looks like that im biased because im totally into chiaki x nodame story hehehe

First thing you’ll probably know is that the series has a lot of humor, particularly because of the two very opposite personalities. But what attracted me, even before I started watching it, is that the story uses its music to drive to storyline, which boosts the emotions of the characters.

The story centers around on this talented perfectionist musician Shinichi Chiaki who’s life’s passion is to be a conductor, Megumi Noda (aka nodame) who is a highly skilled clumsy oddity pianist who is the exact opposite of perfection and this crazy cast of other musicians in their college. Nodame is such an amazing character. Helpless, and hilarious at the same time. She really did an amazing job.. Proclaiming herself as chiaki’s girlfriend, influencing others with her unidentified ability and opening chiaki’s new looks in life. Nodame even used a hypnotizing strategy to make chiaki took a plane ( i wonder why she didnt used it to make chiaki totally fall inlove with her ) and more over she’s a certified weirdo. She is the one that really takes this from an above average series, to an outstanding one. A unique character with a so unique personalities deals with perfectionist but ended up together although i cant really say that they are romantically inclined but these two characters are so simple with a likes on music i guess they are ^_^

There are also some unique characters the unskillful mine-kun but with a heart for the music and the transversal guy who is in love with chiaki and the S orchestra which is composed of bunch of unskillful student who are all weird in a different way, a sensei who alsways hold a fan, and of course how can we forgot that perverted milch maestro Stressman.

This anime not only introduced us to the world of unique characters, comedy and drama but it gives as rich introduction into the world of music with a slice of life.

Nodame dreams is to be able to perform in a piano concerto where chiaki will conduct.

Since this anime is in a music touch, although i dont have any idea about that i can surely say that the music is quite amazing. You’ll definitely like this one where you into classical genre. There will be a favorite classical piece that you’ll fish out like Beethoven, Mozart, Liszt, Bach, etc. The concert where the orchestra are playing are quite real. and also they really did a great job in the OP and ED songs they are quite enjoyable and are great to listen to.

The animation is frequently stunning and pretty decent as well throughout the series. Particularly the animation showing the characters playing music. While its not always perfect, it frequently shows the characters playing in such a way that is completely realistic and some of the artistic used for Chiaki’s conducting and the smooth animation of fingers on the piano are really good. JC Staff did a great job again on this one. The production is very similar to the way Honey and Clover is presented. But i enjoy watching Nodame cantabile more than H&C.

There always have some funny moments in every episodes. Specially those scene between chiaki and nodame. The only romantic scene here between those two are the scene when Chiaki hugged nodame from behind, it’s really romantic!! How could such a perfectionist guy like chiaki take interest in this messy Nodame?? LOL!! Of course how can we forget Nodame’s crazy speech Mukya! and Gyaboo! is also rather cute, unique and funny.

I like this anime a lot. I am definitely not into classical music, but the way how they presented this series makes it very entertaining to watch. Actually, I didn’t know much about Composing, but it’s amazing that they were still able to get my interest when it came to those parts. Once you start it you can’t hardly stop, I would have liked it to be longer, but perhaps they will come out with another season. I even read its manga ( the current manga story line now took on paris where nodame and chiaki story continue where there is a chapter of their first ever romantic kiss Mukya!!! ^_^) and also im currently watching the live action too^_^ and also if you like honey and clover (the same company that made this series), then you will definitely like this series.

Synopsis:

The Persona Anime takes place ten years after the game when it seems that the Apathy Syndrome is back, and it’s up to three brothers to get to the bottom of it. The story involved the investigation of the mysterious Apathy Syndrome and the creatures called Shadows and fighting them with the use their “personas”.

Episode 01:

The story take place 10 years after the outbreak of the game’s apathy incidents, The first episode introduced us to the 3 main characters Ryou (age 28), Shin (17) and Jun (14). The eldest is a police chief in the city of Ayanagi, and investigating bizarre student deaths referred to as the “Reverse Cases”, due to the corpses being turned inside out.

Meanwhile, his two younger brothers decided to come home where Ryou live. Unfortunately the locked of the house has been changed and they couldnt find the key, so they end up having to walk around turn reminiscing about their childhood, and they also mention about Jun’s dead twin sister Yuki. On the other side of town, Ryou finally catches up with the killer, who’s about to absorb a girl’s persona into his own. To stop him, Ryou brings out his very own persona, and the two supernatural creatures battle it out on a rooftop. Ryou manages to save the girl, but the perpetrator run away, injured.

At the same time, Shin wakes up from a dream, in which he and Jun meet a strange fortune teller, telling them about weird things. Soon Ryou comes back home and lets the two younger boys inside, disappointed that their older brother didn’t care a little to them. As Ryou goes to bed, he heard in Jun’s room a sound like he’s having a dialogue with himself in two different voices, Shin decides to take a walk hoping that the fortune teller is on that place.

Hearing strange moaning from a building, he wanders inside and comes across the wounded guy his older brother just encountered. And guess what, it turns out Ryou is not the one only have a persona in the family( go Shin ^_^ ) Shin instantly killed the other persona but still in the state of shock after seeing what just happen. >>> the end

Persona -trinity soul- look promising, the animation is good so does the fighting scene. Characters are well drawn and sexy and the story line i cant really tell for now, but as long as the animation and characters persona -trinity soul- meet my expectation ^_^ The OP theme fits the anime and the ED theme is somehow sounds cute with all those mascot students running. Maybe i should try the game too heheheh

I accidentally stumbled Ghost Hunt across in a streaming site, i just dont know if the one i saw has a nice sub version ^_^ but anyways most likely the anime went well till the end. Ghost hunt is not a new anime at all and its really not the right time talking about some scary anime for the first month of the year, but i think this is one hell of a kind that makes me post a review after seing it.

Synopsis:

Based on the novel by Fuyumi Ono and Shiho Inada

Taniyama Mai is your everyday high school student, who has the pastime of telling ghost stories with her friends. Much to her surprise, she meets a mysterious ghost hunter, Shibuya Kazuya, the 17 year old head of Shibuya Psychic Research, sent out to investigate strange phenomenon occurring in Mai’s school. Accidentally interfering with their investigations, Mai unintentionally causes the injury of Shibuya’s assistant, resulting in Shibuya demanding Mai herself to aid him in his investigations.

Thats the start of mai’s ordinary part time job with an extraordinary profession, eventually she get acquainted and be close to those other characters that deals with the purifying of ghost.

Ghost Hunt is about a team who solve paranormal events, the storyline is divided into different stories, each one compensate 2-4 episodes and I have to say each story was unique in its own way. All the stories excited me, some of them terrified me (like the dollhouse and the Blood Stained Labyrinth )… but all were really good. The stories made me want to watch more of the series until I had finished all of the episodes. I had finished the half of the series in a night and it took me a while to sleep, because as i close my eyes those creepy scene are flashing in my mind ^_^

This series is not scary at all instead, it is the story itself that helped to build that spooky feel. The anime can be quite suspenseful at times, it keeps the “creepiness” to a minimum What i like most on this anime is the stories themselves are very in-depth. From explanation of ESPs, poltergeists, to Japanese Folklore, Traditions and Customs and Cultural practices. I really learned a lot of things about terms that involved in a paranormal settings.

How about a date with this bishie even in a dream?

Characters are all well drawn with a unique personality. from a celebrity psychic girl to an in styled priestess. from a baby face priest to a long haired monk. and omyouji anti social guy who hates people just because they are Japanese to a student council president with a weird ways of humor and an ordinary girl tends to have an extraordinary ability as the series progress. and of course how can i forgot the main protagonist of the anime a narcissist guy who is full of himself with a pride of mount Fuji. Every character did not progress until the end.. but it somehow suite the story^_^ ( yeah this anime despite of the many characters i tend to remember each on of them pati ata yung chant na tinuro kay mai heheheh ^_^ )

The Opening and ending theme is just ok. but it really gives me the creepyness so i tend to skip it a lot hehehhe but the sound effect are all good through out the series that gives the scene a more scary touch ^_^

I really have fun watching this anime not scary at all and the humor are worth in the ear, seriously their punchline are funny specially Yasuhara san. Ghost Hunt left me aching for more, each case was a mystery, and was solved in a clever way – don’t you love detective stories? ( and naru reminds me of L hehehe ) Its really worth watching but i will just remind you of the ending, thats not what im expecting and it really dissapointed me for a while but anyways Ghost Hunt will not waste your time.
